Recover your Hacked Facebook Account


Facebook as we know is the most leading social networking site. There are lots of people who use their Facebook accounts for various purposes since genuine and popular things have a tendency to be imitate or become prone to bad incidents.

a. Click on forgot password option

b. Allow Facebook to search your profile by putting your username and password

c. Select "no longer have access to these" which means you don't have access to the email

d. Facebook displays extended recovery options depending on the age of your facebook account. Facebook accounts that has started long have the option of displaying security questions to recover the account.

e. Recent Facebook accounts can use the option of "trusted contacts" to gain access to their account. After performing this action, enter the email address you currently have access to and click on reveal my trusted contacts and enter the name of one of them. Facebook gives you a link that's only accessible to your trusted contact. Ask your contact to click on the link and get the security code for you. Enter the security code and recover the account.

Has Password and Email been changed:

While trying to access the account and your password and email has been changed, there are lower chances of recovering it but try these to recover your account either with your mobile number or old email address:

a. Go to the Facebook page. select the forgot password option. Enter your login information (username and password) if your profile appears, click on it and recovery options will appear. Select the mobile number option and enter your mobile number, Facebook sends you an automated message of a security code. Enter the recovery code in the dialog box. You can now set a new password for that account.

b. Another means is to recover your account with email change notification. Since there's a tendency your email has been changed, Facebook will send an email to your previously registered email address and notify you about the email change.

c. Assuming the previously registered email has been hacked,there will be an option of "If you did not do this, please secure your account" select it. You will be given a list of options to secure your account like uploading a government ID, Facebook verifies its authentication and reactivates your account or entering your date of birth or you might be asked to select your friends that you recognize by you showing some pictures and names.


Second Alternative Method:

If none of the method listed above worked,here's another alternative below;

a. Open the device that you mostly used to sign in to Facebook, log out on any activity you have made recently.

b. Try to recover/reset your password from that device (Android or iPhone).

c. Assuming your account was recognized on Facebook, you can be able to reset your password without any verification.


Third Alternative Method:

Facebook has made a recent update on an extended service called Identity verification. This service feature is means of confirming your identity by send Government issued ID (Passport, Voters Card, National ID). After you must have sent in your ID, Facebook replies back to you in 1- 3 days and will help you get back your account easily.

b. Complete the entries in the form and attach a corresponding ID

c. Send the form to Facebook and be patient for a couple of days. Facebook will email you about the recovery of your account.
